History of GAMTE

1. finalize the constitution initially drafted by Cindy Henning (Columbus State), Clara Nosegbe Okoka (Georgia State), Lynn Stallings (Kennesaw State), and Shonda Lemons-Smith (Georgia State);
2. assemble a slate of officers for the first election; and
3. conduct the election.

The Steering Committee reviewed and revised the Constitution and Bylaws. The membership was asked to approve them by an electronic vote. By December 7th, 2005, the membership voted to approve both the Constitution and Bylaws (Constitution and Bylaws.doc).

Kitty Fouche (Columbus State) volunteered to chair the elections committee. An electronic vote was conducted and the first of officers was elected:
